Oracle DBA L2

Required Skills Sets:

• 3+ years of experience as an Oracle Production DBA (banking domain experience is preferred).
• Proficiency in Oracle 10g, 11g, SQL Loader, RMAN, Data Guard, ASM, and RAC.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Database Performance Tuning.
• Experience with Backup and Recovery, including Hot backups and RMAN.
• Familiarity with Oracle Support systems.
• Knowledge of logical backups and restores using Data Pump and EXP/IMP utilities.
• Shell scripting experience on Unix (Solaris).
• Willingness to work 24×7 support.
• Basic understanding of Oracle Applications Server 11i.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain database security (create users, roles, and privileges).
• Manage standby databases locally and remotely.
• Perform Backup and Recovery using RMAN (offline/online recovery).
• Conduct daily database tasks: backups, exports, and imports.
• Configure Recovery Manager (RMAN) for Oracle 10g.
• Design and implement Standby Databases (Oracle 9i and 10g).
• Install Oracle Servers on UNIX, Solaris, and Windows platforms.
• Set up archive log shipping for production database standby sites.
• Resolve user queries for Production and Test Databases.
• Communicate with teams and clients to address technical issues.
• Analyze database performance and optimize efficiency.
• Escalate critical issues to meet SLAs.
• Solve problems and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
